The drawings are driven between poles of responses, firstly as an attempt to understand the pressense of the figure and to find ways to interpret what is there in terms of the relationship beteen form, light, gravity and space, to acknowledge the psychological as well as the physical presence of the models. The second is to respond to the theatrical nature of the life room and to imaginatively respond to the compositional suggestions generated by the artificial nature of the situation.
